About this site
I'm Jevell — an IT Systems Engineer with 15+ years running enterprise IT for multi-site and regulated environments: endpoint fleets, identity and access management, network and endpoint security, and physical access control. By day that means owning systems end to end, from architecture through automation, for real organizations with real compliance requirements.
This site is where the after-hours version of that work lives.
Jevell's Lab is my homelab and self-hosted infrastructure, documented in public. Everything here started as something I built to develop hands-on depth I couldn't get any other way — a GitOps pipeline that provisions VMs on Proxmox with zero static secrets, a self-hosted transactional mail platform, this very blog, running behind Traefik with automated TLS. I write it up the way I wish more homelab content was written: the architecture, the actual decisions and why I made them, and — usually the most useful part — what broke and how I found it.
If you're the kind of person who reads a setup guide and immediately wonders "but what happens when this fails at 2am," this is for you.
You can find my professional background and résumé at jevell.acebedo.us, and the code behind most of what's written about here on GitHub.
Thanks for reading.
